Tarland Food & Music Festival - Harvesting Basket & Willow Tour

The Deeside Willow team is partnering with the Tarland Food & Music Festival to offer a beginners willow workshop making small harvesting baskets. 

First, we will take a tour around the willow nursery, sharing their passion and experiences of growing and using willow. The group will then gather around the camp fire to learn some core willow weaving techniques to make small multi-purpose baskets, starting from pre-made base. Join us for this opportunity to create a sustainable gift for a loved one, or bring a friend with you to share the experience together! 

This workshop is suitable for beginners, please note that you will need good strength in your hands and fingers. Note, baskets will vary in size and shape, and options for handles will offered with time permitting.

All tools, materials, teas & coffees included - remember to bring a packed lunch!
