This is a very attractive basketry willow producing slender, fine rods growing up-to around 2m/6ft annually. They are a beautiful red/purple colour with some green in the spring, colour deepening as they age. Narrow, dark, pointed leaves run up the rods creating a very elegant hedge, screen or ornamental shrub providing wonderful winter colour. Similar to Dicky Meadows, but the colour of Dark Dicks is much redder in the spring and more purple in the autumn/winter.
