A versatile species which can be a beautiful ornamental tree both in summer, as well as providing winter colour and silver catkins in spring, which are great for wildlife. Fast growing tall rods are ideal to be used as uprights in living willow sculptures or for creating a hedge or screen. Smaller/ thinner rods are pliable enough for basketry/weaving projects making this an excellent all-rounder.
